Standard Design Features
The standard features of our Remote Safety IO panels are designed for out-of-the-box connectivity to our Network Connected Safety PLC Platform. The design and construction of our Safety RIO Panels are built around operation for operation in Heavy Commercial and Light Industrial integrated safety applications. Optional upgrades are available to accommodate severe industrial environments and hazardous area locations (HazLoc).
All Digital Outputs include Force-Guided Safety Relays with prewired feedback to Digital Inputs, which are required to monitor the safety output Change-of-State. Digital Inputs used for safety relay feedback are separate from and in addition to the 8 / 16 / 32 inputs provided for Field IO.
All Remote Safety IO Panels include a SIL Capable Emergency Stop Mushroom style pushbutton configured to de-energize all field IO power provided from the Safety panel. These ESD button contacts are designed to be wired in series with the corresponding ESD push button located on the Safety PLC enclosure to provide remote emergency shutdown capability.

Field I/O Architecture
